A Poem by Harmony Hodges

Words
My words fall off of butterfly wings
       s
        y
          l
            l
             a
               b
                 l
                  e
                    s
of unique proportions
pile up like shards of ocean glass
Beautiful.
in a jar
in the dusty shed
only to be taken
off the shelf
Roughly.
by a duck hunter
during a drought
driven through muck
and on bumpy coils
then plopped on a stump
Bullseye.
shot at
my words explode
into the atmosphere
Stratospheric.
